Programs We Assist With

 

LIS (Low Income Subsidy):  Extra help for prescriptions. This program lowers premiums, co-pays, deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses on Medicare prescription drug programs. For more information visit the Social Security Administration’s Extra Help page.

Medicare Savings Programs: Multiple programs which provide assistant for Medicare health premiums, deductibles and some our of pocket costs. For more information visit Medicare.gov’s Medicare Savings Programs page.

Medicare Supplemental Coverage/Medigap: Plans sold by private insurance companies that work as secondary coverage to Medicare. These plans are especially beneficial for people who do not qualify for Medicare Savings Programs. They are not offered in all states. Medicare Drug Coverage/Part D: Prescription drug plans for Medicare beneficiaries. Part D programs are offered exclusively through private insurance companies and other companies approved by Medicare. Plans vary significantly in cost and covered medications. Medicare Advantage Plans: Health plans sold by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. These programs may offer lower cost-shares, co-pays and deductibles than a beneficiary could find with original Medicare. These plans are attractive to many beneficiaries because of their low cost. Other Programs: Certain states offer additional programs through Medicaid offices, local councils on aging, and other organizations. We work with these groups to maximize the benefits available to qualified individuals.
